Perspective

After visiting here I have no problems
Please also visit here for information on helping further. I have been on the bone marrow donor's register for 14 years. A few hours of your time and minimal discomfort could save a life and stop the pain.
thankyou x

Yep. Cried too.I get regular newsletters sent from the trust with similar stories some with sad endings but more and more frequently with happy ones.Makes all our problems seem so insignificant they're not even worth bothering talking about.

Everythings relative. . .

Anyway, I can't join the list as I am Brussels bound.

I did donate some of my birthday money to the wee fella though.

Hey Phoenix, you've been busy here and I had not even noticed! (normal since I haven't been blogging much lately). You're also on a donor's list, congrats. Didn't think of becoming a bone marrow donor myself, donating blood and body after I pass away don't seem sufficient now, there is obviously something more I could do.

DQ-Anthony Nolan one is UK based but it is linked to worldwide registers so I have no doubt there's a Belgian based one

MKWM-Only just back so you haven't missed much.

The donor register is always campaigning for new donors, especially men all you blokes out there as their bone marrow/stem cells can be harvested in larger quantities, but I'd appeal to anyone who can (age range for registering is 18-40 at the mo I think)to do it. Registering only consists of a blood test and compared to what children like Connah go through, well it's sod all really. If you're not in the age range tell your friends who are and if you can donate some cash to Connah please.

Woooh. Its great to be all selfless and all that but I'm not giving anyone my blood or being talked through ANY process. . .in French or Flemish. And I’m sure you’d be the same if you were told exactly what was going on in a language you are still an infant in.

Sorry but I'd like to have an understanding of what's going and I'm not that much up to speed.

I've done blood, I'm donating my organs. . .I give monthly to a charidee close to my heart. But as Minky once said we should be silent about our efforts. . .for we don't do it for our own gain.

Anyway, so far so good. . .maybe when the French kicks in better.

Have a nice weekend. 30 degrees here AGAIN!

Thank you very sincerely, Phoenix, and DQ - I'm going to have an American moment here, and say "you guys are awesome!"

This is what blogging is about...
